sobremesa

/so.bɾeˈme.sa/

The time spent after a meal: when the plates are cleared but no one stands up. It's not on the schedule. It's what matters most.

What to expect

Nine kinds of evenings.

    Talks

One person, one idea. Forty minutes that change how you see something.

    Workshops

Hands on, screens optional. Leave with something you didn't have when you arrived.

    Dinners

A table, a few courses, conversation as the only agenda.

    Apéros

Drinks and small bites. No stage, no slides, just a room that loosens up.

    Hack nights

Bring a project, finish a feature. Pizza, pair programming, peer review.

    Game nights

Board games, card games, the occasional argument about the rules.

    Outdoors

Walks, hikes, swims. The best conversations happen when no one is watching the clock.

    Sports

Football, climbing, yoga, a run: move first, talk in the breaks.

    Typing challenges

Friendly typing sprints and accuracy rounds. Keyboards, timers, gentle rivalry.

A note from us

Hello, this is new.

We're Pato & Miki, and we just started Sobremesa. We're two people who think there's a particular kind of evening that's gone missing: small, slow, with the kind of conversation that wanders past the agenda and we'd like more of it.The first gatherings will be small and quiet. No tickets to buy yet, no calendar to subscribe to. If you'd like to know when something happens near you, write to us. We read everything, and we'll get back.- Pato & Miki
